Name and Purpose
The name “Daily Threads” is a word-play on the necessity of “daily bread” as expressed in the Lord’s Prayer. The purpose of Daily Threads is to fulfill, in small part, Jesus’ commission to the faithful in Matthew 25:35–36: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me” (vs. 35–36). Through loving our neighbors, we come to know God more fully, to follow Jesus more closely, and to embrace the Holy Spirit more intentionally.
Note: Daily Threads will not be open on Wednesdays when the public schools are closed because of a holiday or inclement weather.
